Obama Widens Lead Over McCain

When I read stories about polls I do have to laugh as many polls are just totally not very accurate. Personally I wish they would not release polls as they sometimes do change people's minds. When we see a poll that tells us one person is way ahead we tend to listen and not vote at all.

According to the latest poll Obama is widening his lead on McCain if you believe the numbers. I guess we do need polls for certain reasons, but in my opinion they are really not needed, but as long as they are a demand for them we will still have them.

Stocks Falling On Wall Street

The Stock market went below 10,000 for the first time in four years as many people are selling what they have. Over 3,000 stocks were heading down today and this trend of sell-offs will probably continue for awhile. One thing that many people have not figured in is the United States is not the only country with this problem. More countries are dealing with credit crunch and they really have no plans in place to fix it.

For right now the sell-off will probably continue until we see how everything is going to play out. Just like anything else you must ride it out and see were it goes before you decide to totally jump out of the stock market. Usually people who ride it out will do well in the end.

"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" Top Box Office Dog

"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" was the top dog at the box office this weekend. The movie grossed up to 29 million in ticket sales during the opening this weekend. Many people must have loved this as the previews that I seen makes me wonder what people see in this movie.

The thriller Eagle Eye with Shia LaBeouf fell to No.2 with a take of 17.7 million dollars and a two-week total of 54.6 million. "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" was released by Walt Disney who has been known to release much such as these. Hopefully we will not have to see to many movies such as these.

Astronaut's Diary Survives Columbia Crash

Ilan Ramon an Israel astronaut who was on the space shuttle Columbia which blew up when in entered the atmosphere will have parts of his diary on display. It was amazing to me that a diary could survive the crash, but it has. I guess you could call this an act of God as that is the only thing that really can explain it.

The diary did have to have some work on it as it was in no shape to display when found. It was found in Texas and was probably one of the feel pieces that was left from this disaster. At least we have some insight into this man and his journey on the trip.

Who Won The Debate Palin Or Biden?

The vice-presidential debate biggest question was who really won. In my opinion both of the candidates did what they had to do and no one really won. The bottom line is neither one really screwed up so both sides can chalk up a win. In reality though the American public lost as the issues always get put to the back burner which is a shame.

Instead of blaming one part or the other these candidates should be looking ways to make lives easier on Americans instead of throwing mud at each other. I know it is politics, but many Americans are struggling and that is what they should be worried about and not anything else. Americans want to hear real solutions not a bunch of talk to make one party look better than the other.
